AutoScript: Open-Source Windows Automation

Windows developers struggle to automate tasks without a lightweight, open‑source tool like Google Apps Script, yet existing solutions are either too complex or not cross‑platform. Comment on: Devtools must be open source

Just run a full-text search on the old value. How often does 10 appear in the code base? And is the value you are looking for even 10 or does only the UI show 10 points but in code it is defined as 200 twip?

Comment on: Devtools must be open source

Open source is not enough: _LEAN_ open source is a strong requirement today... and that includes syntax complexity of any used computer languages. The scammers are now doing open source vendor/dev lock-in via massive size and complexity... while there are small and stable in time alternatives able to do a good enough job. Those guys are not all malicious, many are just brain washed and some suffer from a mental disorder: accute Rube Goldberg Machine syndrome.

Comment on: Ask HN: Is anyone doing anything cool with tiny language models?

Requirements: -WindowsLooks like I'm out... Would be great if there was a google apps script alternative. My company gave all devs linux systems and the business team operates on windows. So I always use browser based tech like Gapps script for complex sheet manipulation
