RateShield: App Store Review & Sandbox Companion

RateShield tackles the frustration developers face with Apple’s opaque App Store rating and review system by providing automated sentiment analysis, compliance alerts, and a sandbox testing interface. By aggregating reviews, flagging policy violations, and simulating Apple’s security layers, it reduces time to market and eliminates costly missteps caused by the platform’s restrictive ecosystem.

Comment on: Apple is getting this wrong

Appels is getting everything wrong these days. I am so disappointed after buying a Mac mini M4 last year how everything is sandboxed and behind insane numbers of security layers. I will be moving to Linus as soon as my wallet allows it.

Comment on: Apple's hostile App Store rating system

It's a broken system. The platforms don't have the skin in the game.It does exploit the developers, you have to provide A+ support, and often outside the scope of your app just to prevent reviews.Personally, I don't automatically prompt for reviews at all. Only after a great 1:1 actual conversational interaction. As a result, my reviews are a tiny fraction of the bigger players. This is the opposite strategy that works. The reviews game incentivizes high volume, cheap software with automated review capture.

It is tremendously idiotic from a security standpoint and is not the way virtually any other big firm does things. As a Google employee I can’t imagine them compelling me to use a personal Gmail account for anything.Although we can use personal Android devices, this is only because Google has done significant work to allow for isolated work profiles. Because iPhone lack
